Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great warmth but didn't fit very well I'm 6' 1" and ~ 255#. I'm athletic. Wearing these base layer leggings kept me warm but they fit like thermal pants. VERY tight and not tall enough. My biggest problem was that they would go high enough in the crotch to not feel like they were drooping - which they did once I started moving. My legs are so thick that I literally couldn't pull the pants any higher. Overall, they kept my legs warm so I'll wear them again. I'm hoping that some additional wearing will stretch them into better usability. If you're a big person - beware the fit!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's cold outside For the astronomical price of $85 for the top and $85 for the bottom you would think think I would be warm. I got dressed and headed into the woods for the morning hunt with confidence wearing my new thermals. It was only about 35 degrees which isn't too cold. Not 45mins into my sit and the chill set in. I was wearing insulated bib and jacket and these thermals gave me zero extra insulation. I could of worn pijamas underneath and had the same result. They were immediately returned. I bought a set for 1/3 the price and if need be I'll wear two sets and still save money. Ridiculous price for a terrible product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but... This base Lauer works as advertised. I've ridden my motorcycle wearing the base 4.0 dress pants and riding pants at <7°C at >100 kmh. I was actually a little warm. Also snowshoeing at -5 to -7C. This is more active than suggested but I get cold easily and found the gear warm, open jacket and jeans made it perfect. Wicking ability was great as ii could feel the sweat as I went up hills and once the effort dropped I was back to warm and dry. That's the good. So the bad is fit...which is a little off of the usual UA fit. Though not compression it is as tight as my compression cold/heat gear but doesn't give like compression gear. They are also short in the inseam, the inseam is as described (+/- 1/2" per size), I'm just not sure why UA thinks lean=short and fast=tall. The other odd thing is the drop (distance from waist band to crotch). All my compression heat/child gear waists are at my natural waist, these are about 3-4" below that, about my pelvic crest. As this is closer to my hip measure than my waist they're a little snug and uncomfortably low.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I work construction and when used with the matching thermal shirt I've been comfortably able to get through extended periods of time in upper 30 degree weather without the assistance of a jacket which makes getting in and out of tight spaces easier

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for working outside in the winter weather of New England I purchased the 4.0 to be comfortable working outside. I am currently working close the the water's edge of Boston Harbor and it does the job of keeping me warm and comfortable. Been outside working in wind chill below 10F with no problem. Great investment. I'm glad I bought 2 sets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable but not as warm as expected I bought the 4.0 crew top & legings expecting them to outperform my regular UA ColdGear mock top and leggings. The difference is pretty marginal, and the value is debatable. I found that the "grid" pattern in the material just doesn't work well, the spaces/lines between the grid patches let in too much cold air. I could really feel cold wind coming through my uniform pants and through the leggings. This baselayer is fitted, not tight. With that said, if you do intend to buy, know that the sizing runs small. I'm a medium in UA's "fitted" clothing, and I bought a large-- it fits perfectly. I do appreciate the bit of extra length from the top, it overlaps the waistband of the leggings and tucks under a uniform and duty belt without being too bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment It keeps me very warm as I work outdoors at Lester B. Pearson international airport and when used with the matching thermal shirt I've been comfortably able to get through extended periods of time in -20° Celsius weather without the extra layers of clothing which makes moving in and around aircraft easier. I'm thinking of getting a second pair but waiting for them to go on sale again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable and warm !! I bought these to wear to a Steelers football game when the temperature wasn't supposed to go above 15-degrees Fahrenheit. They work best under looser jeans, since they're not skin tight and do have a light bulk to them. They are very comfortable and worked very well. My legs never got cold the entire time we were outdoors, and that included a few hours prior to the game starting. I wsh UnderArmor made socks like this, since my feet were the only thing I couldn't keep warm.
