Waterproof construction keeps feet dry in wet conditions
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built and comfortable hiking boot. I hike in Pennsylvania (Rocksylvania) and if I get a season out of my hiking boots I'm pretty happy. This is my 3rd pair of Timberland boots, the durability, comfort and accurate sizing makes me a repeat customer. When hiking I'm either slack packing or doing trailwork carrying 30 to 40 lbs and the support is good. I have flat feet and there's room for an arch support with no issue. One thing I found a long time ago is to reinforce the toe area with Herculiner. When hiking in rocky terrain it's not uncommon to inadvertently kick an immovable rock, lol. I've worn holes in the leather toe area in the past, so that reinforcement turns a weak area into an indestructible area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I am in my sixties and have had numerous hiking shoes and boots, and must admit that Timberland is not the the first name that pops into my head when I think about hiking footwear. For a lightweight hiker these have been THE most comfortable I have ever owned, straight out of the box. I did ~30 miles of day hikes in southern UT over several days and they were amazing. This included sand, which is usually a killer for new boots. I bought them because I am sick of all the mesh panels and such on most other brands. I don't know if these are waterproof as claimed, and don't really care. I wouldn't buy these to backpack, or climb Long's Peak. They are smashing as a lightweight hiker. The only thing I would change is the gusseted.tongue, which is fabric; it would be better if it was leather covered. I like the fact that these have a less aggressive sole. Enough is enough with overly deep cleats on many hiking shoes. I hope they hold up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What these Boots are Label as are really what it says. Greatest things about these boots I live in Ohio during this time heavy snow and ice that's turns into black ice. Not once have I slide, skate, or slip on the ice, not one time, the bottom is like it "Grips" the ice like I have treds on the bottom. Ohio gets like Chicago in the winter months cold, wet, slippery, and snow galore my feet stay warm I'm not saying to stay out for an hour, 45 minutes shoes, boots, of any kind your feet are going to get cold however my feet stayed really warm for the first 30 minutes, and one best feature your feet stay dry that's most important during ice and snow. Bottom line my $$$$$ was well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I’ve had these boots now for 3 weeks and I’m so happy with the purchase. Finding the right fit for me is usually a challenge but these really hit the mark. They are very comfortable with no points of irritation that usually come with the break-in period of any footwear. After working outside in 40 degree weather for an entire day my feet were not cold. The soles are rugged and grip whatever surface I am standing on. I have not tried these boots hiking yet but I am not worried about their performance. I recommend buying a pair and see for yourself. This is my first pair of Timberlands and I don’t know why I waited so long!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heel Seam ruined this boot Initial fit on this boot was great and it looked to be a good durable boot. Unfortunately, there is a pronounced seam around the heel in the back of the boot. Within the first mile of walking I could already feel a blister starting. Not sure how this got past QC into production, but I really think they are going to need to amend that part of the design because most people will have a problem with it.I've been having trouble finding a good, comfortable, waterproof hiking boot. I was so happy with the initial fit that it really turned in a HUGE disappointment when the heel seam made these unwearable for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good looking, light ,comfortable...but i got the boot in feb or march of 2014,the front began failing about 3 1/2 months ago,i dont believe we should have to buy a new work shoe every year. i first used this boot for a daily shoe,as they began to get show scratches/scuffs in the leather(expected , not a problem)i used them for work, (tractor trailer driver ),thats when i noticed the sole was going thin ,then the rubber in the front separated from the leather,i got it fixed at shoe repair, but it failed again,if a car tire can last THOUSANDS OF MILES ,why cant the sole of a SHOE last longer than several months,i buy a more expensive boot for the QUALITY and RELIABILITY,so where is it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart in a week. Well, I went to my local outdoor shop and they had these boots. I tried them on and loved them. Since buying them a week ago the rubber toe cap on the left boot is peeling off an the stitching on the inside is tore. For the price I paid I expected to get A LOT more out of them. Needless to say this is my first and last pair of Timberland boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but no longevity These boots are comfortable and fit well. I would also like to add that this boot is truly waterproof. I have worn them through quite a bit of water, and my feet have never gotten wet. However, these boots are not meant for everyday use. I let my boots sit in the closet for about 6 months, then wore them for about 4 months. After 4 months of use the shoes are completely shot. The seems are splitting, the adhesive is giving way fast, and the toe is beginning to wear through.
