Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best running shoes....Period Two marathons this year (Irving and Chicago), with version 1 of the Vaporfly. On each one I improved my PB by 8 minutes from my previous race. Amazing!! These two results will allow me to qualify for Boston 2019 (already registered!!) and 2020, and became a time qualifier for Chicago 2019. Doesn´t get any better than that. I am a 58 years young runner that pay a lot of attention to running shoe cushioning to protect these old knees. In my opinion, best cushioning out there. So impressed with this line of shoes that my training/racing shoe rotation includes three Zoom Fly´s and two Vaporfly´s. Version 2 of the Vaporfly are in the mail...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Race Shoes Period! Recently purchased the new release of the Blue colorway 4% shoes and let me say they are just awesome! I was skeptical on all the reviews but after actually running in them I am a true believer. Just raced in a local 1/2 Marathon this past weekend in them and easily PR'd running a 1:30:48 eclipsing my old time by over 4 minutes and my legs felt great afterwards as well. Shoes fit perfectly an the cushioning and rebound are amazing for such a light weight shoe! I am wearing these for all my races which include another 1/2 in a few weeks and then the LA Marathon in March. Can't wait to put miles on them. Great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Want To Like These Bought these about 3 weeks ago and have given them a good test, a 20 mile run and several shorter 5-10 milers. They are definitely well-cushioned and do have some spring to them which I think would serve very well in the latter stages of a marathon. With that said, having big pain issues with left foot, specifically arch/big toe area. Tried adjusting laces and get some relief but not to the point where I would feel confident running a full marathon. No issues at all with right foot, just a completely different experience. Enough of an issue that I’ll need to return, the pain negates any potential performance benefit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Marathon Shoe I have 5 pairs of these. This is the best color option Nike has made so far! I run lots of miles everyday (120 miles/week) in this shoe. It propels your foot forward and makes you want to run faster. It is bouncy and well cushione and has an adequate foot to toe drop unlike racing flats so your achilles tendon won't get hurt. Expensive but worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge improvement on great marathon shoes I got these as soon as they came out. Their first generation model was fast, comfortable, but extremely fragile. They were probably the least durable shoe I'd ever worn -- basically coming apart after about 30 miles on them. The sole would separate and the upper would wear away on the outside toe. The new current version has all of the positives of the original: springy, cushioned, and comfy, but without the negative. Clearly they went back to the drawing board and found an upper that would last. My guess is that they spent a zillion dollars on the original sole and just tossed on an upper and only now figured out the right material to last a few more miles. Expensive but worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from All Style little substance. Just saw the other reviews and it’s unfortunate that I’m not alone in saying these shoes are poorly made. Definitely not getting the quality you’d expect from a shoe with a high price point. Very disappointed! I only ran 4 times with in these (half those runs on a treadmill) and the left sole started to tear. I have amassed over 30 pairs of Nike running shoes from the past 4 years and NONE of them have torn in the sole!! Really wanted to love these. Also, I got a blister in my left heel from wearing low ankle socks which exposed my skin to the inner fabric. These are Flyknit! They should not be harsh on the skin! Le sigh. First shoes I ever tried and had to return. Just No! (On plus side, they did feel bouncy and light).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a racing shoe with comfort, who knew? For years I've been accustomed to my feet taking a beating whenever I wore racing flats, but thankfully those days are no more. Not only are these shoes exceptionally fast, but they're also the most comfortable in my rotation. So much so that I actually look forward to using them for tempo and long runs. Also occasionally my progressive runs too. Point being, they're a pleasure to run in and I'm constantly trying to find a reason to wear them. And for a race day shoe, durability is great.
